So sorry to hear about Vern's passing. My dad Louie started working for Vern when I was just a kid and I always looked forward to working on the farm helping dig Beets in the fall. Vern was always so respectful to my dad and cheery no matter how the harvest was going. I always felt like I was part of the family and that' s why I worked for him and Steve for many years after my dad retired. My last Beet harvest was in 2011 and I miss it and the crew very much. Thank you to Vern and the entire Oster family for accepting me and my family into your world of farming. I will be forever grateful. Rest In Peace Vern.

I was sorry to read of Vern’s passing! It is never easy to lose a parent, but I know you have memories to sustain you! I always enjoyed running into Vern when back in Williston as he loved to visit! He was a big supporter of education, and giving back to his community! A man to be proud!

Prayers to the Oster family. Another great man gone to the greener fields up above. Vernon was one of a kind, always knew who you were and never turned down a good conversation. Alot of memories of him and my dad telling stories and discussing things. You will be missed by all but the memories will always live on. RIP my friend.

So sorry for your loss. Your dad was related to my mother who died a year ago. My mothers’s maiden name was Hornbacher and her mother was Katherine Oster.
May you draw near to God who will give you comfort during this difficult time.
