Oh what a wonderful life Van lived! I so loved when she would come to the beauty shop! She had the most wonderful hair to work with! I was met with a little opposition when I did suggest she stop coloring her hair as she had the fastest growing hair that I have ever known! We were all so surprised how beautiful he silver hair was! Our sympathies to you her family!

To the Family of Van, Seeing the beautiful picture of Van, brings back so many great memories of her and your family in Watford City. The cafe that was so much a part of Main Street for years, and all of the pillar store owners that kept Main Street going, and all the hours spent to together at the Presbyterian Church. What a celebration of life for Van 105 yrs. She is part of a generation we will forever be grateful to. My thoughts and prayers to your family at this time.

Van was my Grandma Maloney too. I have wonderful memories of sleeping over night under the cafe and getting to “waitress” as a little girl. When Tim and I got married she was my grandma there too and we had beautiful pictures taken with her. Even after moving to Billings we talked. I loved her and will miss her so much.

Thinking of you, Judy, and the family. What memories I have from childhood - your Mom and Dad as well as the restaurant. We did have some fun times in the neighborhood.
