I am so sad to hear of Dan's passing. He was part of the Class of "68" before he went to Hill Crest. I remember that my friend and I gave him a hard (fun) time in study hall regularly. We sang to him while he was trying to study-he would go to the Library. But always came back to give us a hard time back. We made studying fun. A great guy. So friendly and personable. I know lots of good memories will help you through this sad time. God Bless your family.

How saddened I am to hear of the passing of my teammate and classmate Dan. Hillcrest was always a bit more fun due to his infectious humor and joyful spirit .

Dan was such a great guy. I really enjoyed working with him at the Williston Herald. I believe it was during my time there that we got Dan interested in writing a fishing column. You could tell his love for fishing in the way he wrote. To Linda and family, may God be with you, now and always.

I’ll always remember getting up early to go fishing with Uncle Dan while visiting in the summer. I’ll always remember him teasing me that I couldn’t even take a tiny bite of walleye because I didn’t like fish back then. Uncle Dan was always a jokester in the most fun-loving way. I’m grateful for so many fond memories of him and grateful for his legacy of living for Jesus.

Dear Linda and family - I was so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. So heartbreaking! I’m praying the Lord will take care of you, give you comfort and strength in days ahead. You will miss him, but remember he has entered the Kingdom of God and has joy and peace forevermore. Waiting for family.
Lots of good memories of working with Dan at The Herald. He did his job well. He certainly liked playing pranks. I can remember a couple of them that stand out.
