Goldie and I went through 12 years of school together. When it stormed we sometimes stayed with her family if we couldn't get home. I also sang at her wedding and her granddaughter is also my niece. We just recently got reacquainted after I moved to Minot.

Such a lovely sweet lady. So happy to have gotten to know Goldie from her many stops at Home Sweet Home bringing beautiful embroidered dish towels.
I loved this woman

So sorry to my classmate, Jeff, and the rest of the family in the loss of his/their mother. No matter your age, it’s tough to lose our mothers. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you.

I remember Goldie fondly as my family also lived in Battleview. My mom took us with to the grocery store often. Well, one day I stole a piece of candy. I can still see all of it by the counter. My mom and I made a special trip back down the hill so I could tell Goldie and apologize. I was so scared. She was stern looking but kind about it. What a lesson!

I worked with Goldie for several years at Kalix, she was the meal coordinator at the group home, very dependable, easy to work with and the individuals all loved her. Rest in Peace my faithful friend,

I’d like to share a happy childhood memory of “Aunt Goldie”. When my siblings and I were quite young and still lived in Glasgow, it was not infrequent that we got to make the trip to visit our cousins in Battleview. We had so much fun sitting around that big table, laughing and drinking the pop of our choice (it was so cool they had their own store!), but the highlight was when Goldie would bring out the baked goods. My absolute favorite was her banana bread! So moist and delicious, a big slice of that slathered with butter was pure delight! Goldie, someday I shall enjoy another piece of that heavenly bread!
