Elsie, was the hostess with the mostess! She always had a smile for everyone she met. I enjoy visiting with her at ELCA events. She will be missed but Elsie stories will always be around to tell.

My grandma Edna Dinwoodie was Leland’s older sister. My mom (Marlene Golay) was one of the 3 Dinwoodie sisters. I have many fond memories of visiting my grandparents in North Dakota and seeing Le and Elsie. When my grandparents sold the farm Le and Elsie had the farmhouse moved to their place a few miles down the road. It was really heartwarming to keep that beautiful home in the family and see it revived in its new location. Our visits with Elsie around their kitchen table were lively and full of laughter. She was a positive ray of light and full of joy…a reflection of God’s love. I have a couple family heirlooms that are treasures and daily reminders of the blessing Le and Elsie brought to this world. Thankful she is now at peace and in the presence of Jesus and reunited with my other amazing relatives.
