Hilda and Honey babysat both of our children until they started school. The kids loved going there where they were treated with so much love. They were also so reliable. We visited often after we moved to North Dakota. Thank you and rest in peace together.

Hilde was an amazing woman with a big heart! I grew up at her house and spent time camping in the summers with her and Lloyd in Medora ND. I think about how things are coming back into style and every time I see a little girl wearing Jelly shoes I think of Hilde. She and I would walk to White Drug and she bought me several pairs on occasion. She was a great cook and I always loved her hot dishes. She crocheted all us kids our own slippers so when we got there you put yours on for the day and they were always in our favorite colors. Her Christmas tree was always so beautiful and had these beautiful icicle lights every year, her garden was her pride and joy! I think of her often and remember the heart to heart conversations we had even into my 20’s.

Hilde was a fascinating lady. When I lived in Germany, we spent a Christmas together. She was kind enough to share her hometown and many other childhood memories. It was very memorable to break bread with her family and learn many stories of their lives together. Sometimes I called her Schatzi and she laughed. I pray her reunion with Lloyd was lovely. Ruhe in Frieden.
