Steve Jastrzebski, 93, formerly of Powers Lake, ND, more recently of Madelia, MN passed away on July 20, 2019 at the Woodstone Senior Living in New Ulm, MN.

Steve was born in Warsaw, Poland on January 11, 1926 to Felix and Sophia Jastrzebski. After a long journey though life he landed in Ross, ND, working on the rails. He enjoyed his time with the railroad. As life has it, eventually he went to work at Powers Lake Elementary School; continuing as their janitor until his retirement many years later. His last few years were spent in Madelia, MN where he spent time with his wife, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by, his first wife, Gladys (Hegstad); also many family and friends in the old country of Poland.

Steve is survived by his wife, Lillian (Gunderson); sons, John (Lenora) Jastrzebski, Mark (Gayle) Jastrzebski, Larry (Tia) Jastrzebski and Ken (Tammy) Gunderson; daughter, Kathy (John) Kunstant; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews and many distant relatives.
