Place of Birth: Minot, North Dakota

Age: 57

Glen C. Hager, 57, of Battleview, passed away in Fargo, ND on Friday, September 25, 2020.

Glen Charles Sebastian was born December 3, 1962 in Minot, ND to James and Leona (Boucher) Hager. He was baptized in December 1962 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Minot. He also attended school in Minot. Early on, he worked as a cook at various places in Minot and worked for Pietsch Signs.

Eventually, he moved to Battleview, ND where he met the love of his life, Kristi Schroeder. They dated for many years before they were united in marriage on November 23, 1990. On April 28, 1999, their son, Matthew, joined this union. They continued to make their home in Battleview.

Glen worked at Ron’s Sandblasting in Tioga, ND for several years. Eventually, he went to work with his good friend Jerry Imsland at Northwest Roustabout in McGregor, ND, where he worked for over a decade. In 2016, Glen began work as a field supervisor for Condor Petroleum, where he worked until his passing. Everywhere he worked, especially in his later years, he was known as a brilliant and extremely hard worker, who enjoyed what he did and never took a day off.

Glen and Kristi enjoyed watching Matthew play sports and were so very proud of all his accomplishments. As a family, they enjoyed fishing and camping together. Glen enjoyed playing in a pool league for years and visiting with family and friends. He loved to antagonize his family and friends in a loving way. He had a quick wit about him, and it was always on show. He will be forever loved and missed by everyone who knew him.

Glen is survived by his son Matthew (Abby Kurtz) of Fargo, ND; brothers James Hager Jr. of San Jose, CA, Dave Hager and Andy Hager, both of Minot, ND; sister Angela Hager of Minot, ND; brothers-in-law Jody (Amy) Schroeder of Powers Lake, ND, Loren Reinholdt of Ray, ND, and Kevin Hollingsworth of Gresham, OR. Glen is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends Susan and Jerry Imsland of McGregor, ND, Kim Rodin of Kenmare, ND, and Deb Gabel, of Minot, ND.

Glen was preceded in death by his wife Kristi, his parents James and Leona, his stepfather Daniel Bush, brothers Kenneth and Leonard Hager, brother-in-law Daniel Schroeder, sisters-in-law Michelle Reinholdt and Lori Hollingsworth, father and mother-in-law Eugene and Emogene Schroeder, nephew Bryce Reinholdt, and special friend Bill Gabel.

Speaking on behalf of the Hamel Family (Marc, Kelly, Brent & Gwen and Sandi & Mark Terrell), we are saddened by this news that Glen has passed away. It is our prayer that God would grant peace and comfort to Glen's family during this time of mourning.

We grew up with Glen on 24th Ave. in Minot, ND. The Hager and Hamel families were close during our youth growing up and attending school together in Minot as well as carousing (er, playing) in and around the neighborhood. So many memories from our childhood! Again, to Glen's extended family and friends, we are thinking of you all at this time. With Deepest Sympathy, The Extended Hamel Family.
