Janice Mae (Ohlhauser) Juma joined her husband, Joe, in the arms of our Lord on August 21, 2021 in Bismarck, ND.

Janice was born on December 31, 1943 to the late Louis and Martha (Eichorst) Ohlhauser in Hazelton, North Dakota where she lived her childhood until she moved to Stanley during her junior year in high school. It was during her senior year of high school that she met her soulmate, Joe Juma. They were married August 30, 1963 in Stanley, ND. They made their home on the family farm by White Lake northwest of Stanley. There they raised their three daughters on the farm until they moved into Stanley.

She will be greatly remembered for her homemade buns, orange rolls, caramel rolls, cinnamon rolls and potato salad. Her catering was enjoyed by many in her community.

Later in life, she and Joe later moved to assisted living in Minot. After Joe’s death, Janice moved to Touchmark Assisted Living in Bismarck.

Awwww, Auntie Janice you will be greatly missed! It was so awesome to see that mischievous twinkle in your eyes, and wonder what fun was coming next. Ahhh the laughter. I’ll miss your banana bread. I love how you loved God above all else, and how deeply you cared about the souls of your loved ones. Asking God to hold Jackie, Julie, and Jean in His tender care. With love until we meet again. Reading of Janice's "going Home". helped me remember the little girl I knew back in Hazelton. Her sister, Eleanor, was a classmate of mine and I also knew Ernie who was in the class ahead of us. Janice's faith was well founded at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Hazelton because her parents made sure their children were brought up in knowing Christ as the Savior. Now she is with that Savior in eternal life. Also, I am not surprised that Janice was a good cook having been raised by a Mother who was a great cook. When I visited Eleanor, the odor of good food was always there! I pray that you, Janice's family, find peace in the grace, love and mercy of the Lord in whom she believed.

I talked to Janice a few weeks ago after hearing about her illness. What a wonderful outlook she had, she was glad that she would be seeing her Lord. Janice, Kay (Davis) and I had many fun times together in Hazelton. So many memories shared. May God comfort you all during this sad time.
