Connie R. Hermanson
December 2, 1956 - April 25, 2023

Place of Birth: Tioga, North Dakota
Residence: Williston, North Dakota
Age: 66

Connie Hermanson, loving mother, grandmother, and partner, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of April 25th, 2023, at the age of only 66 years old. Connie Renee Hermanson was born on Dec 2nd, 1956, in Tioga, North Dakota to George and Cecelia Sandberg. She was raised alongside her nine siblings. She most recently resided in a well-decorated home in Williston, alongside Mark Holmes her partner of 23 years. Where she grew many thriving plants of all different types that filled the house with green and her rooster-themed kitchen is quite remarkably unforgettable.

Connie Hermanson has touched the hearts of many. She was a beautiful, fiery woman whose laughter could make anyone want to join along. Her love was unconditional and fulfilling. Connie was a very dear friend to many, as she had social skills like no other. She was not afraid of meeting new people or trying new things—except when it came to driving. Connie could start a conversation with anyone so easily, sharing the love within her heart. Her friendly, welcoming smile warmed the emotions of lucky viewers. She gave the best hugs—even if you weren’t a hugger.

Connie was a wonderful grandmother who loved and would do anything for her grandkids, who each held a special place in her heart. Her kindness and support meant the world to them as she was always there when they needed her most. From offering the neighborhood kids a place to play to inviting anyone she knew to stop by, Connie’s doors were always wide open and ready for company. Connie constantly expressed how proud she was of her family and bragged about their achievements to all her friends.

Connie, “Grandma Connie” or “Auntie Con”, loved dancing, country cruising, garage sailing, treasure hunting, interior decorating, trying out new recipes, and scrolling through Facebook on her iPad. She made unforgettable and delicious creamed eggs on toast, frybread, and chicken dumpling soup. She loved being out at the lake house with her family, walking alongside the water or soaking in the sun on the patio. She would beat anyone in a game of pool or darts. She enjoyed making stops at the Wise Penny just to look around for anything she found particularly “cute” or craft worthy. Connie adored supporting and cheering on her grandchildren by attending their sports games and extracurricular activities.

Connie Hermanson is pre-deceased by and now with her mother and father, Cecelia and George Sandberg; brother, Larry Foster; and brothers-in-law, Darrell Olsen & Donald Stogner.

Connie Hermanson is survived by and will be watching over her children, Lewis Hermanson, Kelly (Lance) Skor, and Kent (Jessica) Hermanson; partner in life, Mark Holmes; grandchildren, Hayden (Amanda) Hermanson, Hunter Hermanson, KateLynn Skor, Cassidy Skor, Hailey Hermanson, Bailey Hermanson, Lauren Skor, Liam Hermanson, and Declan Hermanson; dogs, Skye and Paisley; sisters, Georgina (William) McCann, Marzetta Stogner, Suzette (Steven) Petermann, Caroline Weyrauch, and Yolanda (Mark) Otto; brothers, LeRoy (Merlynn) Sandberg, Darrell (Dianell) Sandberg, and George (Lisa) Sandberg; and many adored nieces and nephews.

Trying to live without Connie will be very hard for all. She was so easy to laugh with and to hug. She had all the answers. And, she always told you that she loved you a zillion and ninety-nine. Life is forever changed and will never be the same.

I’m lost for words. This is such a shock to me. Connie and I enjoyed having coffee together when I would come back to Williston for the winters. She would fill me in on all her Grandkids lives and how she enjoyed spending time with them. I will definitely miss our visits. My heart goes out to Mark, the Grandkids, and her family for thier loss. Prayers for COMFORT and Hugs in GODS FAITH!.

My Beautiful Cousin, I remember as a young girl being with our families many times, as you were six years younger I remember you as a beautiful little girl, I was Jeni’s age and we played together when we visited Tioga often to see Grandpa Sandberg and all the relatives. I moved to California at age 18 and lost touch with so many of my family. We were reunited through Facebook and I Loved all of your posts. You were always Happy, positive and caring. And So Proud of all your family and those Grandchildren.
Heaven gained another Angel when God called you home. Pleas smile down on all who’s Lives you touched in your short time here on earth,
We will meet again. Love you and will never forget you.
Your cousin JoAnne

I haven’t seen Connie in a long time but we kept up on Facebook she grew up right by each other in Tioga and our Moms were very good friends so of course Connie and I were also when young. She always had a beautiful smile when she was young and she never lost that. I loved seeing all her pictures she shared with the family. My condolences to her family I know there is a big whole in your heart now that only Connie could fill but I know she is watching over all of you.
