It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Kenton Lars Lovan Young Bear
January 3, 1968 - May 21, 2023

Place of Birth: Watford City, North Dakota
Residence: Billings, Montana
Age: 55

Kenton was born in Watford City, ND to Benjamin L. Lovan and Joyce D Beston. He was raised on the MHA reservation, residing in Mandaree ND with his late parents Ben Lovan and Joyce Beston until he quit 10th grade.

Kenton decided to complete schooling and receive his GED, which then in turn he decided to join the army.

While serving in the army, he went to Desert Storm, returned from Desert Storm and stayed active in the National Guard until he was honorably discharged. Kenton remained an active supporter of the army with his membership to VFW Post 9061.

Kenton was a simple man. He also was quiet, humble, and kept to himself the majority of the time. Kenton really didn’t get involved in sports like his late brother Ben Lovan. He loved traveling and seeing what was out there in the world. Although he loved his home in Mandaree, he just didn’t want the simple country lifestyle of the reservation and made the Billings Mt area his home until his untimely death.

Kenton was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Beston and Benjamin Lovan; his sister, Evelyn Hale; Brothers, Randall Knight, Ben Lovan Young Bear, and Arlie Knight; Nephews, Houston Horn, Tyson Knight; Grandchild, Quintin Lovan.

Kenton is survived by his brother, Wilburt Bullsnake; his sisters; Nancy Lovan and Donita Hale; his many nieces; nephews; and grandchildren.
