I am forever grateful to Gene for asking me to be part of a group of parents to develop the Garden of Angels area of Riverview Cemetary. I believe this was his last big project prior to his retirement. He helped us to make this a beautiful area for grieving parents. My sympathy to you Joann and family.

JoAnn, Family and Friends:
I would not be where I am at in life today without all that Gene and your entire family has provided for me all these years. Thank You. I am not sure if the Williston Community ever realized we had our own real life version of Jimmy Stewart among us. Gene was the Williston version of all the characters Mr. Stewart played in movies like: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Flight of the Phoenix, and It's a Wonderful Life all in one person. I will miss dearly all the times spent hunting, fishing, and visiting with Gene. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

He was a good boss. I always found him thoughtful, his speech considered and considerate, and he certainly had to have a bigger picture than us summer help. Prayers for JoAnn and family. May the angels lead him to paradise!
