Maynard Iverson, 85, of Tioga, ND passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Tioga Medical Center in Tioga, ND.

Maynard was the son of Philip and Martha (Kvam) Iverson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended the Iverson School south of Tioga and high school in Tioga, where he played trombone in the high school band.
Maynard was a worker and loved helping his dad on the family farm. He worked at the Texaco Filling Station after school and after graduation, he worked for BJ’s Service driving truck. Soon after graduating, he was drafted into the Army serving two years in Germany and was Honorably Discharged.

On March 10, 1966, he married Joetta Meland in Bismarck. They were parents to four children; Eleanor Mae, Deon Maynard, Darren Mark and Deborah Marie.

Maynard was especially proud that his son and grandsons are carrying on the family farm legacy.

He is survived by wife, Joetta Iverson; children, Eleanor (Jeff) Moe, Deon (Shana) Iverson, Deborah (Erik) Trones; grandchildren, Devin (Justine) Iverson, Jace (Kylie) Iverson, Jaden (Kate) Iverson, Sara Iverson, Erin Westby, Kayla Trones, Ethan Trones; great-grandchildren, Jax Iverson, Henley Iverson, Warren Iverson, Caiden Johnson; sisters, Ione (Harold) Schmidt, Marlene Friedt; aunt, Alice Iverson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Maynard was preceded in death by son, Darren Mark Iverson; parents, Philip and Martha Iverson; brother-in-law, Jerome Friedt; grandson, Tarin Lee Westby; mother and father-in-law, Karl and Clarice Meland.
