Together they had a daughter, Paulette, and lived in Little Rock, AR for a short time. After their separation, Sharon and Paulette moved back alone to North Dakota and she worked at Thomas Auto Supply in Williston, ND for a few years. She then moved back to Grenora, ND in 1973 and started working at the Farmers Union Oil Company, and while working there she met her husband, Herb Bendixson. She belonged to the Helping Hand Club of Grenora, loved to travel and take vacations to Mt. Rushmore, Reptile Gardens, Flintstones Village, Medora, ND, North Unit of Teddy Roosevelt Park with her family, and California to visit relatives.
