Dave attended grade schools in Bismarck, Minnesota and Williston, where he graduated with the class of 1994. After high school, Dave started working in construction with his cousins for Enno Construction and later working for Kroll Construction, where he was employed for many years until the “boom” of the Oilfield began to resurface. It was at this point that Dave decided he wanted to be part of that and began working at Petroleum Services selling drilling rig bits. This was something he was very good at and knew he would make a great salesman He had the gifted ability to talk to anyone. Later in the years, Dave still enjoyed working in the oilfield. He made many lifelong friends, working at various places.

Dave was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching the Detroit Lions. His highlight was attending a Lions game with his daughter, Brianne making it a tradition to watch every single game, never missing one. He looked forward to those gamedays and getting to spend time with Brianne. Dave always had a love for his Chevy trucks and was very proud of them. He loved just “cruising” with his good tunes turned on. He always loved to play a game of golf or pool with his friends. Dave always had a joke for every occasion and always caught his daughter with a good joke.

On July 23, 2024, Dave welcomed his greatest blessing; a grandson, Jameson.

My dear sweet daddy. How I will miss you terribly. You were a great father, husband, grandfather, and even more incredible person. There are so many things I could say but I wouldn’t have enough time in the day to say them all. I hope heaven welcomed you with open arms, and that you are back with all of our loved ones.

Condolences to David’s family. He was such a respectful and kind guy. He was so comical and could come up with funniest sayings. He sure made a person smile. Fly high my friend.

I’m so sorry for your loss of Dave! I met Dave in the Patch. If I needed a contact name or number, I could always rely on Dave. He definitely had the gift of gab! He was genuinely a good person and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Dave’s family and friends during this difficult time

Dave knew how to bring out the joy with that infectious smile, and his laugh that is one of a kind! The time spent with him ice fishing and watching his Lions do what they do never failed to make me happy. And of course, for the times that remain for to get ready to rock, a salute will be given, for Dave.
