John and Maxine Fink
February 8, 1926 - August 8, 2012

Residence: Formerly of Lambert, MT

Maxine Faye McCarthy Fink and John Albert Fink, former Lambert and Sidney, Montana residents, will be interred in the Lambert Community Memorial Cemetery on July 4, 2025, after the parade and other 4th of July activities. Please join Faye and John’s children, Meg, Marlene, Tim, Ted and Jerry, to honor and commemorate Faye and John at the Cemetery at approximately 2pm on the 4th of July.

Faye was born August 7, 1931, in the Sidney Hospital to William (Bill) McCarthy and Ethel Walter McCarthy.

John was born on the family farm near Lambert, Montana on February 9, 1926, to Roy Andrew Fink and Isabella Elizabeth Meyer Fink.

Faye and John were married in Sidney, Montana on June 26, 1950. They raised a family of five children on their farm and ranch in Skaar, MacKenzie County, North Dakota, 21 miles southeast of Sidney, Montana. After 16 years, the family moved to California via a transition year in Anaconda, Montana where John trained for his new career in electronics and a job with United Airlines. Faye guided her children through their school years and developed her career in retail management and income tax preparation.

Upon retirement, Faye and John moved to Dewey, Arizona where John ‘farmed’ his two acres growing fruit trees, vegetable gardens and roses. Faye canned or froze the garden abundance and took care of the house. They enjoyed 18 years on their two acres on Pony Way.

In November 2009, Faye and John moved to Stockton, California to be closer to their children. John continued his outdoor work planting and growing roses, flowers, and vegetables. Through the years, John took delight in growing gigantic pumpkins and extremely tall corn.

John passed away in Stockton, California on August 8, 2012 and Faye passed away in El Dorado Hills, California on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2022. The children of Faye and John are returning their parents’ cremains to Lambert, Montana for interment on July 4th and a graveside memorial service.

Uncle John and Aunt Faye were two of my favorite people. So glad we can join the family to say goodbye. Hugs to the cousins.

I don't think I ever saw Aunt Faye or Uncle John without smiles on their faces. As a kid I always looked forward to a big hug from Aunt Faye. Such great people. Hugs to my cousins.
