Lynette was born in Sidney, MT on September 24, 1960, to parents Ronald and Gloria (Artz) Gross. She grew up on the family farm, three miles east of Fairview, alongside her siblings, Gary, Jeff, and Cheryl.
In 1982, Lynette was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Wicorek. They were able to build their own home and together created a little piece of heaven with flowers, trees, one of the biggest gardens in the valley, and an oasis for all birds. Lynette loved her flowers and birds. You could find her tending to her flowers and all of her birds that made their home in her garden. Mike and Lynette enjoyed camping and fishing at the lake.
Lynette had many jobs over the years, always doing something she loved: managing, cook-ing, and bartending at her parents' bar, the Big Opening, working in the local flower shops, where we aren’t sure she brought home a paycheck, but instead many, many plants, trees, and flowers! Anyone who has been in her yard knows this! She sold fireworks for many years during the summer. You have probably seen her and her little food trailer at numerous community events, cooking the best burgers. Her most recent job was at the Yellowstone Station in Cartwright, where she made many friends and was a smiling face to all who came through the doors.
If you asked Lynette, she would have told you one of her biggest and best accomplishments was her three children, Staci, Mason, and Aimee. They were her pride and joy; she loved them fiercely and would do anything for them. In 2003, when her first grandchild was born, it was also one of the best times in her life. Grandkids quickly filled her life, with a total of 10, and just recently added a great-granddaughter to the mix. She loved supporting them, going to all their sporting events, birthdays, and just loving them all. Gramma “Nette,” as we all called her, will be missed immensely.
Lynette was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Gloria, her grandparents, father-in-law Bob Wicorek, and cousin, Rick Gardner.
Lynette leaves behind her husband Mike; children Staci (JW), Kaden (Kiara), Keegan, and Kyle Skogas, Mason (Kristen) Carter, Logan, and Ella Wicorek, and Aimee (Jon) Luke, Hallie (Colten) and Aylah, Isabelle, and Ava; siblings Gary (Julie) Gross, Jeff (Nancy) Gross, and Cheryl Garr; mother-in-law Joyce Wicorek; and sister-in-law Connie Tabbert; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
