It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Jeffrey John Bond
February 3, 1981 - September 20, 2025

Place of Birth: Denison, Iowa
Residence: Williston, North Dakota
Age: 44

Jeffrey John Bond passed away in Alexander, North Dakota on Sept. 20, 2025, having reached the age of 44 years, 7 months, and 14 days. Jeff was born in Denison, Iowa on Feb. 3rd, 1981. He was one of 7 children born to his parents, Donald John and Dolores Diane Bond.

Jeff attended grade school at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School and continued his education at the public schools in Denison until the family relocated to Meridian, Idaho in 1995. Jeff graduated from Meridian Academy in Meridian, Idaho in 2000. Jeff was active in jazz band and marching band, playing the saxophone.

In his youth, Jeff enjoyed biking, hiking, camping, fishing and many family vacations. He was a fantastic sketch artist, noted for extreme detail in his works. Jeff became interested in martial arts as a teen and practiced it for the remainder of his life. He was highly skilled in many different forms and had dozens of books and videos, largely being self-taught. He often surprised people by pounding out a couple dozen 3 fingered push-ups with ease. He was greatly inspired by Bruce Lee.

After graduating, Jeff pursued a sales career but also enjoyed cooking. He worked for several years at Hidden Springs Mercantile, and SpurWing Country Club where he specialized in gourmet desserts.

In 2006, Jeff enlisted in the Idaho National Guard and completed his training as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Specialist. He was also employed as a civilian at the local base. In 2010, Jeffrey's guard unit was called to active duty for Operation New Dawn in Iraq. Jeff had a medical deferment due to a recent operation, but volunteered to stay with his unit, a testament to the value he placed on his duty to country and friends. He served 14 months active duty with the Army/ARNGUS, mostly in Iraq. Jeff served a total of 9 years with the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 2015, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.

During his enlistment Jeff earned the following medals and ribbons: Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Mobilization Device, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal –2nd award, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Idaho State Service Ribbon-2nd award.

In 2009, Jeff was united in marriage to Brianna Cowger of Wilder, Idaho. A son, James Lee, was born the same year. James would always be uppermost in Jeff's heart and the center of his world! Unfortunately, the couple's marriage did not survive his deployment, and they divorced shortly after his return to the States.

Jeff obtained his CDL and began driving for various companies throughout the Treasure Valley (Boise area) in Idaho. He eventually moved to Dickinson, North Dakota where he drove for companies in the Bakken Oil Fields. In 2017, after some medical issues he returned to the Treasure Valley for several years, spending as much time as possible with his son James. He continued to drive on his LLC and for others.

More recently he returned to Williston, North Dakota to work in the oil fields again and was delighted to be working for PH Group driving truck. Jeff quickly made friends with a number of people in the area. His fellow employees were often invited on his target shooting outings, his favorite pastime. He and his son James could be found at the gym, movies, target shooting, playing video games or visiting local attractions, whenever Jeff had the opportunity. Jeff had a full-blown professional gym in his home and continually added to his daily workouts.

Jeff's sudden passing left everyone in shock, and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Dolores.

Jeff is survived by his son James of Wilder, ID, his father Donald (Betty) of Garner, IA, brothers and sisters, Jonathan (Wendy) of Algona, IA, Jennifer of Boise, ID, Jeanette of Colorado Springs, CO, Joseph (Stella) of Middleton, ID, Joshua (Crystal) of Woden, IA and Jeremy of Nampa, ID, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
