It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Geneal Marie Anderson
April 3, 1940 - January 22, 2026

Residence: Billings, MT formerly of Sidney, MT

Born on April 3, 1940, in Gillette, WY, Geneal Marie Stimson was the daughter of Dallas and Alma Stimson. She grew up in Gillette and graduated from Gillette High School in 1958. That same year, she married George Anderson in August, beginning a chapter of life marked by devotion to family and hard work, until George’s death in 2000.

In the early 1980s, she attended cosmetology school in Miles City, later opening Heads Up Salon in Sidney, MT. The salon became more than a business, it was a place of laughter, connection, and creativity. Her granddaughters proudly served as her first models, even appearing in newspaper advertisements, a fact she never failed to mention with a smile.

Geneal was blessed with two great loves in her life. In 2001 she met Ralph and joined him in making their home in Billings in 2002. Together they shared many memories and truly enjoyed each other’s company.

She had a flair for life that was impossible to miss. She loved anything cheetah print and anything that sparkled, and her home reflected her personality; lovingly filled with treasures discovered at estate sales, each with a story of its own. She took great joy in feeding her “critters,” watching over them with the same care she gave to the people she loved.

Family was at the center of her world. She was deeply family-oriented, finding happiness in gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments alike. Her faith was equally important to her; she loved Jesus and was actively involved in her church, living her beliefs through kindness, generosity, and steadfast devotion.

She is survived by her three children; Mitchell (Mary) Anderson, Sharwynn (Mark) Likkel, and Janae (Bobby) Finnicum; her granddaughters Tess (Eric) Wilson, Dailyn Finnicum, Erica (Alex) Ackerman, and Heidi Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, Luke, John, Logan and Liam; all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and a little sparkle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Alma Stimson; her sister, Carole; her brother, Wallace; and her husband, George and her partner, Ralph.

Her life was one of warmth, character, and unmistakable style. Those who knew her will remember not only what she did, but how she made them feel.

“This is the day the Lord has made; and we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Our sympathies to Geneal's family. Geneal worked on Karolyn's hair for years and after she closed her business they remained friends - talking by phone when they could. Geneal was a bright light in this world. Her presence will be missed. Holding you in our thoughts -

Spent lots of time having coffee together, and Birthday parties with our friends! She was a joy to be around. We started our group of ladies in 1970. Many ladies came and went . 0ur last 2 of us quit when Doris Goebel passed recently. Fond memories for many years. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

My deepest condolences to Geneal's family. This woman was a force to be observed. Her zest for faith, laughter, and life were apparent to all who knew her.
Geneal was my stylist when I first got married in 1987, and she did my hair for my wedding day.
I have often thought of her, since she left the Sidney area in the 2000's. Many blessings to the family that you had 86 wonderful years with her!

I loved Geneal so much and will miss her bright spirit and her flamboyant style and grace. I knew her for many years in Sidney through fellowship at our church, and then reconnected in Billings. She attended Bible study in my home and we all cherished her friendship and her love of the Lord Jesus. How wonderful that she has now been embraced by her Savior and we will be reunited on the other side. My sympathies to her dear ones as you mourn her passing.
