Sandra Meyer, 73, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Mckenzie County Hospital in Watford City, ND.

Sandy (Sickler) Meyer was born July 14, 1952, to Frank J. and Janet (Rohr) Sickler in Dickinson, ND. She was raised on the family farm northeast of Dickinson. She graduated from Trinity High School and business school in Bismarck. She married Steve Meyer, on June 10, 1974, together they raised two sons, Brent and Jeffrey. Sandy worked for McKenzie County Social Services until she retired in 2017.

She enjoyed traveling especially to see family, gardening, yard work, flowers, reading mysteries, baking and embroidering. Sandy cherished family time and especially adored being with her granddaughter, Payton. She was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church and their rosary guild, National Wild Turkey Federation Badlands Toms chapter and volunteered at the McKenzie County Fair.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Steve; sons, Brent (Audrey), Mountlake Terrace, WA, and Jeffery (Sandra), Houston, TX and granddaughter, Payton Meyer; sisters, Sharon (Ray) Wanner, Dickinson, Renee (Brian) Hoffman, Sevierville, TN, and Ronda Brenneise, Westminster, CO; brother, John (Karen) Sickler, Gladstone; and nine nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Sandy was such a sweet lady. Always so kind and a smile when she saw me walk through the door. While I wish I’d met her under different circumstances, I enjoyed our visits. When I think of Sandy, what stands out most was her smile! Take care of each other.
