It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Bradley Allen Anderson
September 10, 1962 - March 22, 2026

Place of Birth: Helena, Montana
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 63

Bradley Allen Anderson, age 63, of Sidney, Montana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, Montana, surrounded by loving family.

Born on September 10, 1962, in Helena, Montana (Lewis and Clark County), Bradley was adopted by Hank and Shirley Anderson. The family soon returned to Sidney, where he attended Sidney Elementary, Middle, and High School and graduated with his diploma. As a boy, he faithfully attended Sunday school and services every Sunday at Pella Lutheran Church alongside his parents. Afterward, he and his sister Vicki would share a simple, joyful tradition—stopping at the Old Dutch Mill for hamburgers and fries. He also helped his father, Hank, general manager of the local Ford garage, by cleaning up around the family garage on 10th Avenue. These early experiences instilled in him a lasting work ethic and deep appreciation for hard work.

In his youth, Bradley enjoyed carefree days sledding, playing around town, and riding bikes with family and friends. He cherished visits from extended family, including Cindy Hedin, Uncle Dick, and Margarette, who often came to spend time with Hank and the family. As he grew older, he formed close friendships, particularly with Tommy Caranza, Johny Kelly, and Tony Gariott, with whom he spent many hours riding dirt bikes and hanging out together.

Bradley began his career at Pepsi before receiving a life-altering diagnosis of the rare genetic lung disease Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. This condition brought lifelong challenges, yet he faced them with remarkable courage and resilience. Placed on the double-lung transplant list, he underwent a successful transplant on November 3, 1997, in Denver, Colorado. After a year of dedicated recovery and rehabilitation, he returned to work and forged a successful career as a commercial truck driver, traveling in the lower 48.

He was employed by several respected companies, including John Christner Trucking in Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Rocky Ford Trucking; and Pat Grule Trucking in Pueblo, Colorado. He married Shawn Roth (now Sandoval), and together they raised two sons before divorcing in 2006. Bradley later returned to Montana around 2009, continuing to drive locally for Sidney Millwork Company and Kelly Inc. until health concerns prompted his retirement. In retirement, he at last found time to savor life’s quieter joys.

Above all, Bradley treasured his family. He loved sharing games of pool and foosball with his son Russel and took great delight in fatherhood with his sons, Russel and Ronnie. He cherished his grandchildren, Jamey Anderson and Evan (Van) Anderson. The family made many lasting memories on vacations together, including trips to Flintstone Village in South Dakota, Mount Rushmore, the caves of the Black Hills, WaterWorld, Gardens (Six Flags), and the Tower of Doom, and a Colorado Rockies game against the San Diego Padres featuring Tony Gwynn.

An avid bird hunter, Bradley also found deep satisfaction in the outdoors and took special pride in the classic and performance cars he owned over the years, including a 2002 SS Camaro, a 2012 SS Camaro Synergy Green Limited Edition, and a 1970s yellow Ford F150.

Bradley is survived by his sister, Vicki Andreas, and her sons, Levi Andreas and Derek Andreas; his son, Ronnie Anderson; his grandchildren, Jamey Anderson and Evan (Van) Anderson; and many other relatives and friends who will miss his steadfast spirit and quiet strength. He was preceded in death by his son, Russel Anderson, and his adoptive parents, Hank and Shirley Anderson.

Memorial Contribution
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alpha-1 Foundation (alpha1.org) in Bradley’s memory, to support research, education, and assistance for others affected by this rare disease.

Dear Family: In 1971, when we adopted our oldest son, Brad gave him a bucket of Matchbox cars. We knew his parents and knew he was adopted, so Brad, at age 11, proudly shared his collection. My son played with them over and over for years and still has them to this day. So sorry that he fought a lung disease. May he rest in the peace of our Lord.
